Trail Rides
"There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man." ~ Winston Churchill
Horses and mules were the primary form of transportation of the early settlers of the American West. Join us for a sample of pioneer transportation and a generous serving of amazing scenery.
If your schedule doesn't allow you to join us for a multi-day backcountry pack trip during your visit to Yellowstone country, you can still get a taste of the backcountry on a trail ride with Adventures Outfitting. There is no better way to experience the Big Sky country than on horseback. Adventures Outfitting has horses available for all age groups and riding levels. Even if you've never ridden a horse before, our calm, gentle horses will carry you effortlessly into the backcountry. We assess every rider's abilities and physical characteristics and will match you with the perfect equine buddy prior to departing. Families with children are encouraged to reconnect with a ride together. The family that rides together stays together! We conduct trail rides in the Lee Metcalf Wilderness June through August and in Yellowstone National Park in July and August. If your group has a specific interest, we can personalize the ride for you. In addition to the trail ride, you can fish, take a short hike to the ridge top to viewthe expansive mountain vistas or relax beside a gurgling stream in a high alpine meadow.
Day Ride Fees: $250-$275 per person, depending upon ride location.
